THE PORTRAIT SESSION
Dennis Mock is a wedding and portrait photographer serving the greater San Diego area.
LOCATION & TIMING
Rustic and Romantic? Urban and Dramatic? Scenic and Playful? The possibilites are endless. The perfect location is what will help tell your story of your engagement. We recommend choosing a place that is meaningful to you as a couple. Keep in mind lighting is key in the success of the photographs. The best time to shoot is an hour or two before sunset.
We recommend choosing two outfits for your session, one that is on the casual side, one that is a bit more formal. This will give a variety of images to choose from. Layers, textures and patterns are great, colors that coordinate well will look best. Its important to look and feel comfortable. These images should be reflective of your personalities, and your wardrobe will set that tone. When you love the way you look, your confidence will shine through in the photos and make images images come alive!
A nice blowout and professional make-up will give you the perfect look. Even if it’s a bit more makeup that you typically wear, it will come across nicely on camera. This is a great opportunity to schedule your wedding trail. Don’t forget about the star of the show (that beautiful new RING!) a simple polished manicure will complement your stunning new bling.

“Honestly I can’t recommend him highly enough! He worked us in on a quick last minute decision to take engagement photos and did an amazing job!! His eye for detail, quick work returned, and his height (we are a tall couple) made our session perfect. Go with Dennis, you will be very pleased!
Pictured is the MATTED PRINT BOX : a great alternative to the Portrait Book. A frame-by-frame experience featuring museum grade matted prints in a heirloom 11×14 or 8×10 linen box showcasing your favorite photographs.
